Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP)

Roles and Responsibilities

Recruitment & Selection

  • Align recruitment processes in country or business unit to the recruitment strategy, policies and procedures at Platform and Regional level
  • Liaise with business partner to understand vacancy requirements and ensure alignment to the organisational structure
  • Coordinate the preparation, approval and publication of job adverts both internally and externally
  • Perform criminal and reference checks on applicants
  • Screen applications and shortlist candidates for submission to business partner for approval
  • Coordinate the interview process by scheduling interviews, compiling interview packs and participating in the interview
  • Prepare and submit the offer letter and letter of appointment to the successful candidate, following approval by the business partner and the Regional Head: Human Capital
  • Prepare and submit letters of regret for those candidates that were unsuccessful
  • Support the Regional Head: Human Capital in coordinating the recruitment process for senior management levelled positions
  • Coordinate employee on-boarding / orientation and verify that new employee information is updated on the HC system
  • Coordinate the scheduling of orientation with key stakeholders and new employees
  • Verify that on-boarding paperwork has been filed

Human Capital Business Partnering

  • Liaise closely with line management and the Regional Head: Human Capital to identify issues and / or opportunities and the impact on staff
  • Act as trusted advisor through the provision of guidance to business partner, line management and staff on Human Capital policies and procedures
  • Manage expatriate visitor and staff experience, particularly with regards to legal residence and compensation requirements
  • Be the first point of contact on grievances and disciplinary issues, working with the business partner towards resolution
  • Consult with the Employee Relations Specialist for support and, where appropriate, refer complicated matters pertaining to grievances and disciplinary issues
  • Provide regular updates to Payroll on new recruits, internal movements and terminations.
  • Facilitate training on Human Capital policies and procedures inclusive of benefits, to provide updates to staff members
  • Support the Regional Head: Human Capital in the coordination of Human Capital projects to ensure projects meet the stipulated timeframes and deliverables
  • Maintain personnel records of all staff
  • Keep abreast of applicable Human Capital legislative changes within the country of operation to ensure consistent interpretation and application of the relevant legislation, policies and procedures

Performance Management

  • Facilitate training to line management on the performance management process and system
  • Facilitate the performance appraisals process and ensure that Performance Agreements and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) are in place for every staff member
  • Monitor adherence to Performance Management policies and procedures
  • Identify performance management risks and make recommendations to the Regional Head: Human Capital on mitigating actions to reduce risks

Learning & Talent Development

  • Conduct L& D needs analysis to identify training objectives and produce an annual Training Plan and Training Calendar for submission to the Regional Head: Human Capital for approval
  • Work with the Regional Head: Human Capital to identify service providers to implement the training and liaise therein to communicate training requirements
  • Coordinate training workshops / interventions as per the Training Calendar
  • Track employees against their development plan
  • Monitor service providers to ensure that contractual terms and conditions are being adhered to and address any areas of non-compliance
  • Identify high potentials in consultation with key stakeholders to input into career and succession plans
  • Coordinate processing of invoices on behalf of service providers, and follow up on payment with the Finance Department
  • Produce reports on the training and development interventions and return on investment of training programmes for submission to the Regional Head: Human Capital
  • Maintain a register of approved service providers

 HR MI & Data Analysis

  • Analyzing and interpreting HR data and providing this analysis and interpretation using advanced excel and advanced power point suites.
  • Provide data extraction as and when required by the business and preparation of special reports for use during executive meetings, etc.
  •   Development and improvement of reporting tools and MIS.
  •  Establishment of the financial and management 

Educational Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resource Management/Post Grad Degree in Human Resource Management CIPD/ SHRM/ CHRA
  • 3 years’ Human Capital generalist experience
  • 3 years in HC Data analysis
  • 8 to 12 years’ Human Capital generalist experience
